Right after the cease of the Second World War the public commenced to deem that the world’s core rules are plain and logical . Both world politics and social relations were relying on the principles of gain , beneficial changes , belief in the logical , awareness , technical progress , and the ability to ground any happening from a logical standpoint . Nevertheless , beginning from the second half of the 60’s, the world began to change and currently , 40 years after , we find ourselves in a changed type of reality .
We without any problems spot those advancements which are given us by new technology, but we barely realize the fact that there are specific thoughts which the author has put behind those solutions . They have made us focus our attention to the most problematic issues of the previous century; those dilemmas , which the humankind , having lived through the world wars and unseen violence , was reluctant to face . Lastly they were formulating the most important issue “What will our future look like?”

They have all quite influenced literature of their epoch, have showed looks and problems which were typical to their countries and the period they lived in, and have made the readers think about the running system of values, having them realize that it is far from being genuine. One of the most important feature of their work is that in often they have risen the people attention in books and written works. In this aspect one of the most interesting success works is that of a well known author John Cheever.
The achievement of Joan Rowling can be called phenomenal as she has become the first author in the world to make $1 billion by writing fairytales. She is today spending a great part of her money on charity, confronting poverty and illness. The idea of the book was invented while she was on the train from Manchester to London. When the publisher has first decided to print her book, she has given her 1500 pounds together with a friendly piece of advice — to look for a permanent job. He was incredulous of the idea that the young writer would be able to make a living off of writing books. Joann has showed the opposite - having written a number of unparalleled fairytales, she has made the so-called non-reading generation get back to reading books.
This work is not able to enumerate and more or less precisely list all authors who have offered their gift to the today’s literature. They have been working and presenting ideas exactly into the heads of the millions, and thus were shaping the future. therefore, as we can see, these authors were not creating for entertainment only, but they were also playing a considerable role in shaping the culture and the looks of a civilization of the 20th century.
